TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS
The Mansion in Glen Cove
Conveniently located in the tri-state area to facilitate scheduling of other business opportunities around the conference, Capture 2019 will be held at the Glen Cove Mansion, located 25 miles from New York’s La Guardia and JFK airports. At this landmark estate on Long Island, turn-of-the-century ambience blends beautifully with today’s comforts and technology. This exceptional meeting environment is enhanced with state-of-the-art meeting rooms, gracious guestrooms and a spectacular indoor recreation and fitness center.
This convenient venue allows conference attendees to schedule additional business activities in the New York area around the conference, as well as the opportunity to take advantage of the many exciting features the Long Island/New York City area offers such as theaters, museums, beaches and wine country.
A full conference pass for Capture 2019 includes meals and events during the course of the conference (as well as breakfast the morning of Sept. 6 prior to your departure) and all conference proceedings in electronic format. Additionally, a special discounted sleeping room rate at the Glen Cove Mansion will be offered to each attendee. Incremental costs such as airfare are minimal, as flights to and from the major NY airports of JFK and LaGuardia are priced competitively, in addition to those airports being convenient gateways for European travelers.
Transportation: Airport transfers are not included with the purchase of a conference pass. It is highly recommended that all conference attendees leverage Uber or a similar service as a transportation provider, as the Mansion is approximately 45 minutes from JFK or LGA airports during non-peak traffic times. Taking a NYC taxi from the airport to the mansion can run up to $ 200 in some cases, so a service such as Uber is highly recommended.
Should you wish to use the service provider from past conference years (Arena Taxi, based in Glen Cove), please contact Frank at 516-671-1848 and specify “Harvey Spencer Associates” for a negotiated rate of $ 58 one way from JFK or LGA. It is important that you schedule ahead of time, and reconfirm with them a few days before the conference as their drivers will be coming from Glen Cove.
If you are driving, the mansion provides ample free parking. There is also an LIRR train station in Glen Cove, a few miles from the Mansion for those that are coming from New York City.
Arrival and Departure: For those that fly in to JFK or LGA (closest airports), please plan to arrive to the airport no later than 4 pm September 4. The Welcome Reception, followed by Dinner, begins at 6pm – this is valuable networking time and not to be missed! Traffic can be heavy from the airport to the mansion, so allowing ample time for this is key. Suggested departure would be the morning of September 6, as the conference day September 5 is long and ends with a “Meet the Speakers” event poolside – more incredibly valuable networking time.
Enjoy Glen Cove Mansion’s classic conference experience.
HSA has reserved a block of rooms for the nights of September 4 and 5, at a negotiated rate of $185.00 plus tax/ night (price subject to availability). To book rooms, please contact Erin Dempsey at firstname.lastname@example.org or (910) 574-6631. Please do not contact the Mansion direct as all rooming lists are being managed by HSA.

It is highly recommended that you take Uber and not take a New York city taxi to the mansion from the airport or from within the city, as the mansion is outside city limits. Since cab drivers cannot pick up a fare, they are permitted to charge for a return journey which doubles the fare. The result can be a charge of as much as $ 200 for trips to the mansion in Glen Cove on Long Island!
For additional questions about travel and venue, please contact Erin Dempsey with HSA directly at (910) 574-6631 or email@example.com
